We are pleased to announce the launch of Seochon: Explorative Walk at the Hong Geon-ik House.

This guided tour serves as a comprehensive journey through the Seochon area, highlighting the multiple layers of time and space surrounding the western side of Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Structured around key themes such as space, history, art, and public life, the tour invites participants to explore Seochon with expert docents. Along the way, participants will discover the historical narratives and their connections to contemporary culture in Seochon.


About Hong Geon-ik House

Located in Pirun-dong, the Hong Geon-ik House is a modern hanok built in the 1930s, featuring five buildings and a rear garden. It is recognized for its architectural significance, showcasing a blend of traditional and modern hanok elements, and has been designated as Seoul Folklore Cultural Heritage.

Currently open to the public as a Seoul Public Hanok, it hosts a variety of programs, including culturally significant events and exhibitions, for visitors to enjoy.
